float (again, but slightly better than the last version)

Minor epilepsy warning: The game is pretty colorful and has a couple moving parts/flashing lights, so be careful!

The new and improved version of "float"! A game I worked on for a jam during winter 2023. I wanted to use this project to prove to myself that I could make a small solo game project with unique gameplay, visuals, sound effects, and music. I only achieved the first two goals, but that's better than nothing! The complete version of this game is shaping up to be pretty big, so I'm probably going to take a break from working on it for now. I'd like to work with some smaller ideas I've had before I try to tackle something this complex (I mean yeah the current build isn't complex but I'd add more stuff obviously).

The game is a bit rough around the edges, but I already have a lot of future improvements in mind! Please leave a comment if you have any suggestions for how I could improve the game! Also let me know how far you could get in the endless mode; I want to know how absurdly difficult it can get (and if it eventually crashes the game).

--CONTROLS--

F1: Enter/exit fullscreen

WASD: Jump, left/right movement, crouch/enter door

Move mouse: Rotate shield

Left click: Parry

Left click (after successful parry): Fire projectile

Space (after successful parry) + movement in any direction: Dash

R: Restart from checkpoint

T: Return to title screen

Pressing START on the menu resets your save file

Pressing CONTINUE on the menu will place you in the hub world if you have completed level 1
